Who We Are

Bits & Peaces is a federally licensed 501(c)3 non-profit horse rescue organization located in Belvidere, TN. Founded by Hannah Noel McDonald in November 2017, we have rescued and rehomed a total of 326 equines since 2017.

Bits & Peaces is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and providing a sanctuary for equines while leveraging their therapeutic potential to empower individuals facing mental health challenges and nurturing youth development. Our therapeutic programs are uniquely designed to enhance the physical, mental, or behavioral well-being of our equine counterparts through activities that are mutually beneficial to humans.

Bits & Peaces has achieved federal recognition by the American Association of Equine Practitioners
(AAEP), ASPCA, PetCo Foundation, Amazon Smile, Kroger Community Rewards Program, and Guidestar for our efforts to assist equine in need.
To provide ongoing top care for our growing list of equine clients and to continue public outreach services and education, we need continued
support from our wonderful community and corporate sponsors.

Whether assistance comes to us through

advertisements, volunteers, item donations or monetary donations, we would not be as
successful at the rescue process without our community’s generosity.
Whether your donation is in the form of a corporate sponsorship, building supplies,
horse care materials or a monetary
contribution, your donation is
invaluable and is 100% tax
deductible!

OUR SERVICES

We are in the business of mutual healing.  While multiple organizations offer equine-assisted learning and counseling, our model is carefully designed to add enrichment for our horses.  Instead of using the horse as a therapeutic tool, our activities are centered on healing the human alongside our rescue horses.  Each seminar is catered to provide meaningful experiences for our clients while helping the horses heal physically and mentally in preparation for their new homes.
