Jennifer's Story
Jennifer is a lifelong resident of Franklin County. She grew up on Yarbrough Farms Inc. where her late father, Tommy Yarbrough, had cattle, swine, horses, and row crops. She graduated Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and a minor in Science. She was instrumental in helping the Franklin County Animal Control transition into the present program today during her employment in 2008. In 2012, she transferred to the Franklin County Sheriff's Department where she is the current Administrative Assistant to the Sheriff and Chief Deputy. She attends the yearly Farm Animal Care Coalition of Tennessee Livestock 911 seminars and training and has aided in several livestock rescue calls. She resides in Belvidere and has one son, Colton Housely, and a menagerie of pets.
